Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Flower Bed Commemoration
Cllr. Bob Eccleston & volunteer residents have planted a rose flower bed to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, well done to everyone, hopefully it will last for many years.
Bridgtown History Book “BRAG and all That” makes news
The latest book in the history series on Bridgtown has been published and appeared in the Chronicle. It tells the story of the struggle of the resident action group BRAG 50 years ago to prevent Bridgtown becoming an industrial area. The author is John Deny Chair of the History Society.
Bridgtown Jubilee Beacon Lights the Way
The Jubilee Beacon gifted to the Parish Council by the District Council was lit at 9.45pm on 2nd June along with the other Beacons across the country to signal the start of the Queen’s Jubilee Celebrations.
New Planters Display a Welcome to Bridgtown
One of the items purchased from the Welcome Back Fund for the Parish Council were two self- watering Amberol Planters. One is located on the grassy verge, next to the History Board at the junction of North Street & A5. The other is on the grassy verge at the junction between Delta Way & A5.
